This Grand Opening is co-hosted by the Presumpscot Regional Land Trust, the Town of Windham, the Greater Portland New England Biking Association, and Runaways Run Club. The East Windham Conservation Area, owned by the town of Windham, with a conservation easement held by Presumpscot Regional Land Trust, was conserved in September 2023. This project is the largest wildlife habitat, clean water, and recreational trail corridor in Greater Portland and provides a 30-mile trail network connecting Windham’s Lowell Preserve, and Falmouth’s North Falmouth Community Forest and Blackstrap Hill Preserve.
